i put it to you that Brent Hinds is the most metal man in the whole of music its at 2.40 if you want to skip but i wouldnt want you to miss a good (festival muddyish) song! |

Now, this is before adjusting for inflation. However - these figures have been up on the BBC's site since this morning, it's just only now that they've 'clicked' with me - and of course, it's currently midnight, meaning that it's still only 4pm on the US west coast. I would strongly, strongly expect for it to have taken enough since the BBC article first went up, to counter-effect inflation.

I suppose there was a time when kid rock wasnt famous. Imagine forming a band to perform a gig in front of your freinds and family at your local urine soaked hellhole. You try to scrape together a passable set, pehaps containing a few supergrass covers because theyre easy (pumping on your stereo, feelin alright minus the piano chords), a couple of muse and darkness instrumentals because you cant find anyone who can sing them, and maybe sneek in a couple of your own inept attempts at songs at the end because the crowd will be drunk and wont notice by then. Then on comes little known local outfit 'kid rock' making his debut, opening with bawitdaba complete with fireworks when he screams his name. You'd feel suitably blown away. |

| I just bought a bag of the new Starburst, and I definity have mixed impressions - the blackcurrant are far nicer now (not difficult) and the orange taste more like oranges. The lemon-lime have gone downhill, completing Masterfoods' hatchet job on them, and the strawberry are about the same. Not the total disaster suggested, at least. | |
