I think I'm going to try and collect the whole set of this kind of spell. I called my dog Barkwright. As it happens, I asked him if he saw anything interesting, and he ran away and came back with a 100 year old bottle of wine. Good dog.

Which unlocked the shapeshifter class focus thing for everyone. I'm starting to like this game. I wish Alistair would shut up, though. He looks and sounds like that irritating guy from T4. And he keeps teasing Barkwright! I get the impression that I'm going to team up with my old right-hand dwarf-at-arms eventually, and once that happens I'm ditching Alistair for good.

I'm level 9 now (is 20 the maximum?) and my main character (a rogue) still only has three or four combat skills, and none of them are particularly impressive. Am I being punished for maxing out my Persuasion skill straight away? I think I'm supposed to be getting amazing backstab/crit damage bonuses, but I barely even notice when they happen. Even when I'm attacking out of stealth, it still only does about 12hp damage, which is nothing at all - Shale routinely pummels people for about 40 damage. I have one rank in dual-wielding, but perhaps it's not enough? Also, I was stripped of my possessions and exiled to the Deep Roads during my origin quest, and until half an hour ago I was still using the same Fine-Crafted Dwarven Longsword that I picked off a corpse during that time. Also, my relationship with Morrigan is up to about 54. I am beginning to teach her how to love.

Really? I don't think they're that bad. The only thing that really irks me is the way facial hair almost always looks like a plastic Playmobil beard. Also, it's funny how they made Morrigan's outfits really racy, emphasising that she isn't wearing underwear, but then she seems to put on a bra and pants specially for her romance scenes. It is absolutely imperative that an 18-rated game does not include fully exposed breasts.

I'm currently stuck in the middle of a massive quest where you can't stop until you've killed everyone. I thought I was almost at the end and then it flipped everything round and now I seem to have hours left to go On a brighter note, today I discovered that you can tell your dog to mark its territory against certain trees and other landmarks, and it gets a combat bonus whenever it fights in that area.

Space Jerk-off Posts: 13,729 Group: Geighs Member #14 Joined: August 19, 2005	i like the way elves are being treated as second class citizens, just like in the witcher and also the grey wardens are pretty much witchers but it's not a witcher beater for me, sadly not what i was hoping for after all the hype and years of development, i was expecting something revolutionary for rpgs but it's really not. Just more of the same old. I can't help being disappointed

Pictures and/or Voice Posts: 8,664 Group: Geighs Member #12 Joined: August 8, 2005	I hate everything about the Grey Wardens, just because it's exactly the same kind of plot device as the jedi in KOTOR and the SPECTREs in Mass Effect. And the way that everyone keeps betraying everybody else for the first half of the game, just like in every other Bioware game ever. I never ever admit to being a Grey Warden (in the game, I mean) unless I absolutely must. Hopefully there will come a time when I can send Alistair off to die, and then we can all pretend they never existed.
